Newbie models, please be careful with whom you make contact on ModelLink. I realise you are all excited about getting a portfolio built up but you must be sure that any members claiming to be photographers will behave in a professional manner should you choose to meet them.
If you have any reason to suspect the motives of any of our members then you must report them to us at admin@modellink.org with fullest details of any issues that raised your concern. All details will be dealt with in the strictest of confidence and your identity won't be revealed. It goes without saying that the professionalism of a potential photographer should be evident in their portfolio. Do make sure that the work is theirs (google the title of the pic - see what comes up) and again report any individual who is stealing copyrighted images. Also, ask them for references from the individuals in their portfolio. Finally, if you do choose to meet a photographer, take a chaperone if possible and always tell somebody where you are going. Good luck! |

Hello Hannah,
Always be cautious. If you have any doubts feel free to contact me for my own personal opinion. Set yourself boundaries and never go beyond them. If a tog tries to persuade you to do stuff that you don't want, be firm and tell them not to pressure you. |

One of the best ways to check is to ask if they have a valid C.R.B
and get the number if you can of it when meeting them, also before meeting ask for car reg and inform a friend of it before you meet . |
