<title>Model_Sian: Networking Event</title>
<link>http://www.modellink.org/forum/article245.htm</link>
<description>Model_Sian: Hey

At present i am trying to organise a networking event to raise money for BEAT (an eating disorder charity) and hopefully at the same time get everyone out there some work.

The event would be held in stamford and tickets would be £5 (All money goes to BEAT)

Now the reason i choose this charity is because it is a rather big thing in an industry like this and i think it is a good idea to show that we support people in these situations and that the modelling industry isn&#039;t all about looking skinny.

So i am just wondering how many people would be interested in coming to an event like this. Its for everyone in the industry and you are all welcome to bring your partners.

I dont want to organise an event and find that no one would be coming.

If enough people respond and say they will come i will continue to organise the event and make sure it is a brilliant day for all involved.

And don&#039;t forget to bring your business cards and your portfolio&#039;s

<link>http://www.modellink.org/forum/article174.htm</link>
<description>jonemoore: One of the best ways to check is to ask if they have a valid C.R.B
and get the number if you can of it when meeting them, also before meeting ask for car reg and inform a friend of it before you meet .</description>

<title>webmaster: Once upon a time...</title>
<link>http://www.modellink.org/forum/article86.htm</link>
<description>Londonite: Ha, scary stuff....especially for someone like me who is afraid of heights!!

I was doing a shoot once with a model friend in a tall building and she wanted to have pics on a balcony with London in the background. Problem is the balcony was 8 floors up with a metal grid floor, so I could see down all 8 floors and had visions of me dying. She didn&#039;t mind heights and it took all my nerve to quickly get the shots she wanted before diving back indoors to &#039;solid&#039; ground!

I&#039;m fairly certain she wanted the pics done JUST becuase she knew I didn&#039;t like heights! Friends huh!! hehe

<title>HannahPro_Yes: How Can You Tell ?</title>
<link>http://www.modellink.org/forum/article238.htm</link>
<description>Londonite: Hi Hannah,

I&#039;ve posted quite a lot of advice on this site and the Webmaster is quite good about putting up advice for models.

Always be careful and if you think something sounds a bit dodgy, don&#039;t take the chance. If you&#039;re not sure, explain the situation to someone who&#039;s not involved, they&#039;ll probably tell you if it sounds iffy or not.

Ultimately your safety is the most important thing....

Be safe and good luck!
